da esoccer bet: Lukas Podolski’s long-awaited move to Arsenal is believed to be on the verge of completion, after his club Koln agreed to the transfer, according to Metro.
The Germany international has been a long-term target of Arsene Wenger, with the north London club linked with a move for the experienced attacker this summer.
However, there has been no clarification on Podolski’s future recently, leading to speculation that the Bundesliga team were ready to try and thwart the Gunners’ approaches.
However, the newspaper indicate that Koln have agreed to a fee of just under £10 million, with added bonuses based around Podolski’s performances for the Premier League outfit.
Arsene Wenger has previously admitted that he wants to sign Podolski, who the French coach believes can take some of the club’s goalscoring responsibility away from captain and recently-crowned PFA Player of the Year Robin van Persie.
